Cavitation

Cavitation: is the formation of microbubbles or vapour bubbles in flowing liquid in a region where the pressure of the liquid falls below vapor pressure. This in turn forces the bubbles to oscillate in either size or shape which can lead to the bubbles collapsing, which relases a small amount of energy.
