Spatial Resolution

E-mail Print

Spatial Resolution: Refers to how closely positioned two reflectors can be to one another and still be identified as seperate refelctors on an image.

Spatial resolution depends upon the frequency of the sound waves with higher frequencies producing greater spatial resolution although at a cost of increased sound attentuation i.e beam penetration will be reduced.
