Report:
Anteverted uterus is noted which appears normal in size,
outline and echogenicity.
The endometrium appears thin and regular measuring 6mm AP
(LMP: on menses).
The right ovary appears normal.
The left ovary is bulky measuring a volume of approx 24cc
(44 x 28 x 39mm) which is due to a fairly well defined
heterogenous mass on the ovary which measures 37 x 22 x
30mm. Within this mass there are small cystic areas that
cause some distal enhancement but the mass itself generally
castes a strong distal shadow. Appearances suggest a dermoid
type lesion which is mostly solid although bowel
contents/artifacting or other pathology can not be completely excluded.
